Voodoo Ray

Voodoo Ray is a puzzle game targeted at the casual-gamer, and revolves around the properties and behaviour of light. The core mechanic of the game involves manipulating the light emitting, absorbing and reflecting elements to open up paths for the avatar to progress through each level. Elements include light-emitting objects, reflective objects that can be moved, light-bridges that have to have a beam going near them to be able to be walked upon and blocks that can be destoyed by light.

Rather than manipulate each element directly, the player has to guide the avatar to the element that they want to manipulate - many of which are out of reach to start with. While some blocks can be destroyed witha single light beam, others require multiple beams to be chanelled to the same location. By combining these simple puzzle elements together, more complicated puzzles can be created as the resources to solve each puzzle element (such as mirrored blocks) need to be re-used.

The simple controls allow the game to be played with just a 4-directional D-Pad and one button, making it easily accessible to casual gamers and suitable for any platform (including mobile phones).
