City Crawlers

A small interactive piece of software looking at how (relatively) complex patterns and behaviours can be built from very simple rules. In this case, the “crawler” will happily meander until it drifts too far from the camera, upon which it’ll start crawling back. It will occasionally spawn children that aren’t as fussed at maintaining their parents intentions.
You can move the mouse around to change the camera position, so the interaction is pretty limited.

You’ll need a reasonably recent pc with a 3d graphics card.

The short music loop that plays is (C) Plaid. its called air locked and is on the album “Rest Proof Clockwork”.
