If you get a chance, check out Spider Man 2. Its got beautiful webslinging interaction, you really get the feel of flying through the city. The non-linear structure is certainly a “tribute” to GTA but theres definitely originality there too, with a sweet map system and transition that makes sure you dont get lost by making the shift from third person to birds eye view smoothly.
