Eye-tracking control

The short clip below shows a eye tracker (commonly used in screen-based usability studies) adapted for use as a control mechanism for FPS games. I’m really surprised how well this appears to work – I would have thought that the darting around of the eye would cause movement to be very erratic, especially having seen the playback of videos captured from eye-tracking sessions for websites. I’m assuming that theres some sort of smoothing going on, but its definitely impressive, and a great development for disabled gamers.
